Agatelady Rock Shop

NORMAL BOOKING PROCEDURE: If you would to set up a private appointment to get into the rock shop, please click on the desired type of appointment below to schedule the day and time you would like.  To guarantee entry into the rock shop, it would be best for you to click on the BOOK NOW link next to your desired option. A calendar will pop up — advance to the desired month, select the desired date, and click on the desired time below the calendar. The advanced price paid for private appointments gives the group a credit in the rock shop equal to the amount of the advanced payment. The money paid for classes and custom lectures are fees and do not provide credits, but groups paying for these services do have the ability to purchase retail items in the gift shop. Note that not all dates and times are available. I set my schedule each day around the advanced bookings, so if a group is more than 20 minutes late for its private appointment time, at the discretion of Karen Brzys, the group may lose its time slot and forfeit the advanced payment. If you are running late, to avoid this forfeiture, please call Karen at 906-450-5033 to discuss options. 

IMPROMPTU APPOINTMENTS: I am experimenting with allowing people to get into the rock shop on an impromptu basis. If I am working on a mineral art project, I may not be able to honor an impromptu request. However, if I am available, you must bribe me to come out of semi-retirement with a minimum purchase.  For 30 minutes in the rock shop, the group (not each person) must agree to spend a minimum of $25 in the rock shop. For 60 minutes, the group must spend at least $50.  

Unfortunately, classes and custom lectures are not available on an impromptu basis. They must be booked in advance on this website.

The antiques in the rock shop's west addition are gone and now a wide array of fluorescent rocks are in this room. The long wave 365 nm fluorescent rocks include syenite (the "Y" rock), ruby, fluorite, agate, sodalite, and more. The short wave 255 nm rocks include willamite, calcite, agates, and more. We also have a wide array of UV flashlights available including long wave, mid wave, and short wave.
